OVERVIEW
The purpose of this workshop was to communicate and gather input from Cambridge Bay community members, industry and Government employees on suitable building designs for the North. The event also introduced SAIT team members to the community and provided a walk-through virtual tour of designs implemented in the Green Building Technology research lab. This workshop was designed to refine ideas generated during earlier workshops through better understanding past and ongoing local energy efficiency projects.

COMMUNITY ENERGY EVENT
OVERVIEW
Kuugalak’s new community work space has officially launched! On Thursday, October 13th, we partnered with the committee for Cambridge Bay's Community Energy Plan to host an evening of games, country food and community learning about energy efficiency and renewable energy in the North. A great turnout, with over 100 people in attendance. We were able to share the detailed blueprints for our new building, present samples of the materials being used, and create excitement and new partnerships surrounding its construction in September 2023.
